FBI Child Exploitation Task Force Executes Search Warrant In Ripon

21 August 2018 News

An official with the FBI says a search warrant was executed by their Child Exploitation Task Force at 103 Doty Street in Ripon Monday. Leonard Peace, a Public Affairs Officer with the FBI’s Milwaukee Division, says it’s an investigation they can’t comment on. Ripon Police Chief Bill Wallner says the FBI contacted their department last week and asked for assistance in the investigation, which included help during the execution of the search warrant. He says it’s not often the FBI comes to Ripon, but when an investigation crosses jurisdictional lines the FBI asks for assistance from local departments. Wallner does say they have not identified any victims associated with the residence on Doty Street that are City of Ripon residents and there doesn’t appear to be any risk to any citizens in that neighborhood or in the City. Wallner told us one person at the residence was taken into custody on a probation hold.
