A bystander and a Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s deputy used CPR to resusicitate a 35-year-old Lomira man who quit breathing after a motorcycle accident in a highway construction zone Monday night in the Town of Empire. James Walsh was heading north on Highway 45, which was closed for construction, when he struck a large pile of gravel. His bike went airborne and landed on its left side throwing Walsh and his passenger 29-year-old Tristynn Walsh of Lomira from it. After James Walsh began breathing a Flight for Life helicopter flew him to ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Neenah. Tristynn Walsh was taken by ambulance to St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac. She suffered serious injuries. Neither James nor Tristynn was wearing a helmet. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
