Plane Makes Emergency Landing In Waushara County

Two Port Orange, Florida residents escaped injury when their airplane was forced to make an emergency landing in a farm field off 28th Road in Waushara County’s Town of Saxeville Sunday evening. Sheriff’s officials say the airplane experienced a mechanical problem and called 911. They were forced to make a landing, which damaged the landing gear and propeller. They were on their way to the airport in Waupaca and were coming from EAA AirVenture. Sheriff’s deputies took them to the Waupaca Airport. The incident happened just before 6:30 pm.
