One person is injured following a snowmobile accident in Green Lake County. The accident happened Friday evening around 11pm in the area of the upper Fox River – 2 miles west of the Town of Berlin. Investigation shows two individuals were traveling in the area and were unfamiliar with the surroundings. One of the snowmobiles, operated by a 31-year-old Campbellsport man, struck an object and the operator was ejected. He was transported to a local hospital with non life threatening injuries. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

A Waupun man is out on bail after making his initial appearance in Dodge County Court on charges of possessing sexually explicit pictures of children. 53-year-old Timothy Hilt is facing ten felony counts of Possession of Child Pornography. A judge this week set a cash bond of five-thousand dollars for Hilt, who was arrested late last year after officers were tipped off by a third-party watchdog. The tip indicated that sexually suggestive pictures of children had been downloaded to an IP address that was traced back to Hilt. A search of his computer reportedly turned up hundreds of child porn images. If convicted, Hilt is facing up to 250 years in prison.

The first major construction work related to the Foxconn Technology Group development began Monday in Racine County with frontage roads along Interstate 94 will be upgraded. The state Department of Transportation says the east and west frontage roads between Highway 20 and Highway KR will be reconstructed. That’s about two miles of roadway. Work will not affect travel on I-94. Foxconn plans to build an expansive electronic complex east of the interstate in the Village of Mount Pleasant.

Two members of the Wisconsin Assembly’s Corrections Committee say Gov. Scott Walker’s plan to create new regional juvenile prisons in the state can be done more quickly than he proposed. Republican Rep. Joel Kleefisch and Democratic Rep. David Bowen issued a joint statement embracing Walker’s reorganization plan but calling for swifter action. Walker proposed converting the Lincoln Hills juvenile prison into an adult facility and opening five new regional juvenile prisons. Walker’s plan calls for seeking the $80 million in funding in 2019.They say bills already introduced could be used to implement Walker’s plan and be passed by the Legislature this year.
