Officials in Oshkosh want to remind ice fishers this weekend to be extra cautious with deteriorating ice conditions. Saturday morning, an operation called “Sunk? Dive and Rescue” had to help two people back to shore after their truck dropped a couple feet into the water. No was hurt. The Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office said it is concerned with the mild temperatures posing a threat to anyone on the ice, especially while Sturgeon Spearing is still going on. According to “Sunk? Dive and Rescue,” car bridges will be removed by Saturday afternoon. They recommend no vehicles go out on the ice from here on out. Also, the Battle on Bago fishing tournament that had been scheduled in Oshkosh over this past weekend was cancelled due to the weather conditions.

The Fond du Lac Fire/Rescue says a woman was extricated from her car and taken to the hospital after a rollover crash Saturday. It happened on South National Avenue and Deneveu Circle a little after 6:30 Saturday morning. Officials say the woman was sent off the road and hit a tree and utility pole. They say she was extricated from her car and taken to St. Agnes hospital by ambulance with minor to moderate injuries. Officials don’t know what caused her to rollover but believe it may be from coming into contact with utility wires supporting the pole from the ground, and they reached Alliant Energy to check it out.

“Pokemon Go” monsters will need a permit to get into Milwaukee County parks after the game’s popularity last summer left officials wondering how to handle large crowds and the trash they left behind. Members of the County Board of Supervisors who supported a permitting process say they want to be ready for the next craze in augmented-reality gaming. The ordinance signed Feb. 10 requires game developers to get a permit and pay a fee to use county parks to help with maintenance. International Game Developers Association Executive Director Kate Edwards says regulations like Milwaukee County’s can stifle the emerging technology’s growth. In Illinois, lawmakers are considering requiring companies to remove sites from games when they receive a request to do so.
