The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office identifies the victims of a fatal wrong-way collision on state Highway 60. The Sheriff’s Office says 64 year old Beverly Vincent of Iron Ridge was killed when her SUV was struck by an SUV traveling the wrong way on Highway 60 near Jefferson Road Sunday. A passenger in her vehicle, 65 year old Bryan Vincent received life-threatening injuries. The wrong way driver, 46 year old Robert Underwood, of Horicon received non life-threatening injuries. The crash remains under investigation.

A suspect is in custody in connection with reports of multiple sexual assault incidents near the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh campus. UW Oshkosh police say a 27 year old male non-student is being held in the Winnebago County Jail facing multiple charges including sexual assault, burglary, battery and auto theft. Police say early Sunday morning the suspect attempted to sexually assault a female victim. Police say the attack was thwarted when bystanders intervened. Two other incidents that are similar in nature are also being investigated.

The Cost of Living Index for Fond du Lac County decreases slightly from last quarter and is below the national average. Of the four Wisconsin cities that collected cost of living data, the Wisconsin Rapids area is the least expensive at 91.7. Fond du Lac’s index measured 94.6. Madison had the most expensive cost of living index in the state at 108.5.

Gov. Scott Walker signs a $3 billion incentive package designed to lure a Foxconn Technology Group flat-screen plant to southeastern Wisconsin. Walker signed the bill Monday afternoon during a packed ceremony at a technical college in Sturtevant in Racine County, the most likely location for the plant. The bill provides nearly $3 billion in cash to Foxconn if it invests $10 billion in a new flat-screen factory in southeastern Wisconsin and employs 13,000 people. It extends $150 million in sales tax exemptions on construction equipment and allows the company to build in wetlands and waterways. The package also gives the conservative-leaning state Supreme Court the option to take appeals of circuit court decisions related to the Foxconn project directly rather than having them heard by an intermediate appellate court.

Wisconsin submits a federally required school improvement plan to President Donald Trump’s administration over objections from Gov. Scott Walker and conservative groups. Trump’s Education Secretary Betsy DeVos has four months to review the plan and either approve or reject it. All 50 states must submit accountability plans under the Every Student Succeeds Act in order to continue receiving federal education funding. Wisconsin gets more than $500 million per year in such funding. Some states submitted their plans earlier this year, but Monday was the final deadline. Walker last week said the plan written by the state Department of Public Instruction overseen by state Superintendent Tony Evers wasn’t innovative enough. Evers is running as a Democrat for governor next year. The state’s final version largely mirrors an April draft.
