Nightmare on First Street: Field of Screams & Haunted Barn in Fountain, MN

    19:00 -22:00
    October 31, 2021

News Release, October 2021; 507-460-6939 or 507-250-7905 for more info
Horror Is Back at Nightmare in Fountain!
The time is nearly ripe for the re-emergence of Nightmare on First Street: Field of
Screams & Haunted Barn in Fountain, called by many “The Best Haunted Event
Ever!” After last year’s Covid hiatus, this scary and spooky non-profit fundraiser is
back and set to chill and thrill patrons for its tenth year.
Funds raised this year will benefit the Fillmore County History Center in Fountain,
MN, the best history center in a town of only 400 people, whose volunteers will be
among those helping to run Nightmare.
Each year Nightmare is different from the past, but this year it is being completely
rebuilt! Routes are changed, walls are moved, and details abound. Hundreds of hours
every year go into the metamorphosis of this scary delight. Attendees can expect
creepy scenes, hand-carved pumpkins, labyrinthine routes, screams and moans,
surprises and scares, live actors, and maybe even an appearance by DEATH.
The theme this year is Haunted Mansion & Estate. You may discover a rabid butler,
murderous nanny, cleaver-wielding cook, ghostly servants, stairway to oblivion,
poisoned feast, overly-welcoming coffin, torturous dungeon, and so much more!!
Expanding to nine nights this year, Nightmare is created and hosted by Paul & Regan
Little of Fountain. Numerous others help with the presentation of the event.
Depending on how quickly you navigate through and affect your escape, expect
Nightmare to devour 20-45 minutes of your life for a scary entertainment experience
    (plus queue time before entering).

Dress for outside and unheated buildings.

Nightmare’s gory glory runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday on the last three weekends
    of October, specifically October 15th, 16th, & 17th; 22nd, 23rd, & 24th; and 29th,
30th, & 31st; from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. each night. While some prefer their haunt
with less scare, we can’t remove the scariness of the site!
