Stop out at the Wautoma Municipal Airport this Sunday, July 23rd from 7am-12pm for an All You Can Eat Pancake Breakfast. The meal will be complete with sausages, apple sauce, juice, milk, and coffee. The money collect from this breakfast will be put towards their scholarship fund. The Wautoma Airport is located at W8471 Cottonville Dr.

MDA and FOND DU LAC Fire Fighters Host Special Kick Off Event on July  24th, 2017 for Annual Fill the Boot CampaignWHAT: A special kickoff event for the annual Fill the Boot  fundraising campaign is being hosted by members of the Fond Du Lac  Professional Fire Fighters Association Local 400, along with the  Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), to free individuals - and the  families who love them - from the harm of muscular dystrophy, ALS and  related life-threatening diseases that take away physical strength,  independence and life.WHO:  Chief O'Leary, and local 400 Fire Fighters/ParamedicsWHERE:  815 S. Main St., Station 1WHEN: Monday, July 24th, 2017, 10:30 amWHY: The kick-off event on July 24th continues this IAFF/  fire fighter tradition for more than 60 years, matching the nobility  and strength of MDA families to help give individuals the strength to  live longer and grow stronger.On August 1st, August 11, and August 18th  at the intersection of Division and Main Street, and also at the  intersection of 4th & National between 10:00am and 4:00pm this year's  Fill the Boot campaign will officially begin. A dozen members of the  Fond Du Lac Fire Fighters Association Local 400 will greet motorists  on the street, asking them to make a donation in support of MDA's  mission to help free individuals from the harm of muscle diseases that  take away everyday freedoms like walking, hugging, playing and even  breathing.Funds raised through 2017 Fond Du Lac Fill the Boot event help MDA's  efforts to fund groundbreaking research and life-enhancing programs,  such as state-of-the-art support groups and Care Centers, including  the MDA Care Center at Prevea Clinic in Green Bay, and Marshfield  Clinic in Marshfield, WI. They also help send more than 45 local kids  to a life-changing experience in an environment without barriers at  MDA Summer Camp at Pilgrim Center - all at no cost to their families.

Held every Tues. until the end of September at Nathan Strong Park from 4 p.m.-7:30 p.m.

Friday, August 4th, Stuff the Bus fundraiser.

The Curve-In Café in Redgranite has been supporting Waushara County’s Back to School Bash for more than a decade and will be kicking off the annual “Stuff the Bus”. They hope the community joins forces to fill the bus with school supplies for area families. The bus will be located at the Curve-In Café from now until the morning of August 4th.

Donated supplies will be distributed at the Sixteenth Annual Back to School Bash on Saturday, August 12th from 8-11am at the Waushara County Courthouse Demonstration Room., 209 S. Ste. Marie StreetWautoma. The Back to School Bash is organized by the Waushara County Department of Human Services. The agency recognizes that purchasing back to school supplies for families with limited resources can be stressful.

The Back to School Bash helps these families by distributing backpacks of school supplies at a nominal fee. Monetary donations may be made payable to the Waushara County Department of Human Services – Back to School Bash and mailed to P.O. Box 1230 Wautoma, WI 54982. A community favorite for friends & family! Come down to the Village Green located at the corner of Watson and Seward Street in downtown Ripon.  The series typically takes place on Friday evenings, June through August, 7p-10p, but occasionally bonus concerts are added or events rescheduled due to weather issues. Participants are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on. No carry-ins are allowed in the park because beverage sales help cover entertainment expenses. Free music isn’t really free.
