Not using harmful chemicals or fertilizers helps the environment and your health, but that doesn’t mean your plants are left to fend for themselves. There are still healthy ways to take care of your plants organically. On Thursday, June 1stat 6:30 P.M. learn about the effect chemicals have on gardens, environments, and our health at the Ripon Public Library. Discover different techniques and tools gardeners can use to support their plants in an organic way at this hands-on learning session with Brenda Block, Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach. Friday, June 2 at 6:00 P.M. Does the end of the school year have you feeling like a zombie? Put your game face on and head over to the Ripon Public Library after hours on Friday, June 2nd at 6 P.M. for a teens-only Zombie Dice Tournament! The Foundation for Ripon Medical Center is hosting its annual Charity Golf Outing on Wednesday, June 7 at The Golf Courses of Lawsonia in Green Lake. Golf check-in begins at 10:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 11:30 a.m. Participants will enjoy lunch and 18 holes of golf on The Woodlands course. A dinner reception will follow, featuring a choice of prime rib or salmon, as well as an extensive silent auction. Cost is $150 per person. Proceeds from this year’s event will help support medical imaging updates at Ripon Medical Center, and other areas of greatest need. The planned upgrades will include a patient lift in the CT scan room, for individuals who are unable to transport themselves. This will help ensure that patients in need of medical imaging services can have safe access to this technology at Ripon Medical Center. We have a new group starting in Wautoma called the Cancer Care & Share Group. We will be meeting the 4th Sunday of each month.
