    Oshkosh Boys & Girls Club 13th Annual Marathon

    Boys & Girls Club Beneficiary of 2017 Oshkosh Marathon

    The 13th annual Oshkosh Marathon (and Half Marathon) put on by DuTriRun and sponsored by CR Meyer will take place on April 30, 2017 and start in downtown historic Oshkosh at the Leach Amphitheater at 7 a.m. The race benefits the Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh, the Christine Ann Domestic Abuse Center and the Oshkosh Area Humane Society. The Boys & Girls Club of Oshkosh is currently looking for about 30 volunteers to help work as course monitors. Those interested in volunteering on behalf of the Boys & Girls Club should contact Marketing Coordinator, Katie Huebner at katieh@bgcosh.org.     4th Annual Spring Fling Sale at Wild Rose Manor

    Start cleaning out those closets, cupboards, and garages for Wild Rose Manor’s 4th Annual Spring Fling rummage sale Saturday, April 29th from 9am-3pm and Sunday, April 30th, 9am- 1:00pm. They will not be collecting clothes this year and there is no need to price your items, they will price them for you. Please drop off items at Wild Rose Manor at 425 Summit St. in Wild Rose starting April 21st- April 28th. If you have any questions, please call Donna Krempleski, activity director, at 920-622-4342.

    Clean Up Week
    Each year the first full week of May is set-aside for City Wide Clean Up.  This year clean-up will be May 1st thru May 6th.  During this week only, Webster Landfill will be open from 9 am – 6 pm, Monday-Friday, as well as Saturday morning from 8 am until noon, for City residents to dispose of their unwanted items.  There will be no curbside pickup. Please take note of the following items which will not be accepted: Tires, batteries, oil, paint or any chemicals; white goods that contain Freon (such as, refrigerators, air conditioners or dehumidifiers); TV’s microwaves and computer items. Thank You for your cooperation.

    Join Jenni Borell, E-RYT, a certified integrative yoga for seniors instructor and certified essential low back program instructor, to release tension, increase range of motion and energize through this slow-paced, therapeutically-oriented class. This class is suited for all ages and abilities.

    “Gentle Yoga” is scheduled from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Mondays, May 1 to 22 in the RMC Wellness Center, 845 Parkside Street, Ripon. Individuals should bring a yoga mat and throw blanket to each class.

    Stretching is an important part of an older adult’s flexibility, and helps to offset the effects of normal decline in the flexibility of joints so individuals can remain active and independent.

    Join Natasha Novak, fitness instructor, for a stretching program that incorporates breathing exercises and good posture to relax the body and relieve tension.
