  • Ripon Noon Kiwanis Annual Cheese Box Sale

    Get a gift for the hard-to-buy-for and two for yourself! The
    Ripon Noon Kiwanis is holding their annual cheese box sale, now through the December 4th.  Each box of cheese is $25.00 and contains a 12 oz. sausage, a garlic dip, and one package each of brick, medium cheddar, and string cheese.  Orders are due by Monday, December 4th at noon, with pick up on Wednesday, December 6th from 5:30-7pm at Divine Passage Funeral Home, 175 N. Douglas St., Ripon.

    The annual cheese sale is one of the fundraisers that help
    benefit the many wonderful programs spearheaded by the Ripon Noon Kiwanis (RNK) in the community; which includes recurring college scholarship opportunities, the Riggs Park Splash Pad, the annual Children’s Fair and many other great programs geared to serving the youth of our community.  The RNK meets weekly at Noon in the PDR in the Ripon College Pickard Commons; guests and prospective new members are always welcome.

    restaurants during the annual Christmas in the Village which takes place on Friday and Saturday, November 10-11, 2017. Those strolling up and down the sidewalks will find unique gifts, clothing, jewelry, furniture and more.

    Additional activities include carriage rides, a live reindeer display,
    visits by Santa & Mrs. Claus, and complimentary treats at participating shops. Stroll from shop to shop as you develop your holiday shopping list.  Save room for lunch and dessert at one of Ripon’s great restaurants. Visit www.downtownripon.com for a complete list of businesses.

    Enjoy a day encountering the unique shopping, dining and entertainment opportunities that are available in historic Ripon, and discover the charm of small town hospitality.     Santa Claus is Coming to Town!  Santa will arrive Friday evening, November 10th via fire truck. Santa & Mrs. Claus will make their way down Watson beginning at 6:00 pm. Children of all ages will be able to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Mugs Coffeehouse located at 307 Watson Street in Downtown Ripon from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. Parents
    are encouraged to take pictures at the events. Santa will also be available on Saturday, November 11 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.

    Downtown Horse-Drawn Carriage Rides.  Experience the old-fashioned nostalgia with a romantic horse-drawn carriage
    ride through the historic district! The sights and sounds of the holiday
    season come alive during this tour of Ripon’s historic downtown Watson Street.  The buggy, provided by WellSpring Farm, holds up to four passengers. The rides are provided on a first-come, first-served basis on Friday evening from 6:30 to 8:30 pm as well as Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm.  Donations are greatly appreciated.

    Live Reindeer Display.  Santa’s Live Reindeer are returning to downtown Ripon on Saturday, November 11th  from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Before returning to the North Pole, Donner and Vixen will stop in the 200 Block of Watson Street for a visit the whole family will enjoy. The reindeer are provided by Noel Productions and are
    hand-raised on JT’s Elk Valley Ranch located in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

    The classic musical Fiddler On The Roof will be presented at Berlin High School on November 9, 10, and 11, at 7:00 p.m. each night.

    The show is directed by Lisa Utecht, assisted by Alecia Starks. The orchestra is directed by Ben Ruetten.

    Tickets are now available at the Berlin High School office from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Ticket prices are $10.00 for adults and $8.00 for students age 18 and younger. All seats are reserved. The ticket booth opens at 6:00 p.m. each night of the show.

    Ripon Noon Kiwanis is holding their annual cheese box sale, now through the December 4th.  Each box of cheese is $25.00 and contains a 12 oz. sausage, a garlic dip, and one package each of brick, medium cheddar, and string cheese.  Orders are due by Monday, December 4th at noon, with pick up on Wednesday, December 6th from 5:30-7pm at Divine Passage Funeral Home, 175 N. Douglas St., Ripon.

    A United Way fundraiser will be held Thursday, November 16th at the City/County Government Center, 160 S. Macy Street Fond du Lac, on 1st floor in Rooms F, G and H.
    A Vendor Fair is scheduled from 10am until 2pm and will include these vendors:  Gourmet Cupboard, Mary Kay, Modere, Norwex, Pampered Chef, Paparazzi Jewelry, Scentsy, Tatted Ensembles, Tupperware, Wildtree.
    Lunch be served from 11am until 1pm and will include a BBQ pulled pork sandwich, coleslaw and chips for $5.00.
    Raffle tickets will be available.  Prizes include a double glider, lighted bean bag toss, Rolling Meadows Golf package and a scenic airplane ride.  Drawing will be held at 1:00 on November 16.
    Proceeds will benefit the Fond du Lac Area United Way.

    The Wautoma Rotary will be hosting Wautoma’s Christmas Parade on Thursday, November 30th. The parade line up will begin at 4:30pm on Park Street. The Parade will start at 5:30pm on Main Street by the Post Office and will continue West towards the WWII Memorial Building. Following the parade will be a tree lighting with Santa and hot chocolate and cookies provided by Mayor Nixon. Lighted floats are encouraged and there will be prizes for best entries. Santa has also accepted their invite to be in the parade. Businesses located on route and surrounding areas are also encouraged to light up store-fronts and decorate! For any additional information or to donate a small prize or certificate to be given to the best float, contact Peder Culver at pculver@lifequest-services.com.
