  • Stop Assaults – F.A.S.T. Defense SELF EMPOWERMENT For Children, Teens, Women, Men, and Businesses
    10:00 -13:00
    January 21, 2017
208 West Main Street, Wautoma, WI, United States

Stop Assaults – F.A.S.T. Defense SELF EMPOWERMENT For Children, Teens, Women, Men, and Businesses

“F”…Fear – The #1 Factor in successful self-defense is dealing with the Fear that naturally arises in a real attack.

“A”….Adrenaline flooding – spontaneously occurs with Fear in dangerous situations shutting down higher brain function and activating the fight or flight syndrome.

“S”…Stress is induced by adrenal flooding, impeding judgement and fine motor control, (the ability to assess the threat and respond effectively)!

“T”…Training now exists that addresses Fear, is affordable and accessible, and provides the most effective self–defense available to handle today’s frightening situations.

In this training you will learn:  To recognize the warning signs of attack and avoid threatening situations before they become dangerous  How to avoid attackers by not looking like a victim  To use the power of your voice and body language (most confrontations and assaults can be stopped by a strong voice, good eye contact and body carriage)  To find and utilize the power of your fear, not be paralyzed by it.  And when all else fails, to protect yourself and your loved ones with simple & effective FULL FORCE techniques to the attacker’s vulnerable areas.

Turn Your FEAR Into POWER! “To me this course was a life saver. I can’t believe the sense of safety and empowerment I feel after just 3 hours of training! You’re invited…. To take a Plunge into the Economics of Waushara County! The ThedaCare led Wild Rose Community Health Action Team (CHAT) invites you to take part in this day-long learning opportunity on Wednesday, January 25, 2017. Poverty was identified as a top priority in the Community Health Needs Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan and the Wild Rose CHAT chose poverty as its first initiative to address. Think of a Plunge as a day-long adult field trip of exploration and learning! During the course of the day you will hear from experts who will share their thoughts and expertise on the root causes of poverty and how the local economy affects everyone. You will be joined by leaders from all sectors of the community including education, business, government, faith organizations, healthcare, non-profits and philanthropy who will all learn together. In the afternoon CAP Services will take attendees through a poverty simulation. The day will begin promptly at 8 a.m. at Wild Rose High School. A healthy breakfast and lunch will be provided. Dress is casual, comfortable shoes and clothes are encouraged. We will travel to different places via yellow school bus so comfort is important! This will be a full day ending at 4:00 pm. We are limited in the number of attendees so please RSVP early. More details will be available two weeks prior to the Plunge. At this time to attend, please RSVP via email to Kaye Thompson at kaye.thompson@thedacare.org. If you need further information please contact Kaye at 920-830-5949.
