Hometown Broadcasting Loses One Of Its Own

14 June 2020 News

Hometown Broadcasting lost one of its own in a tragic kayaking accident over the weekend. Tami McCauley, who listeners of The Bug knew as Lexi Young, was kayaking with her sister Saturday afternoon on the Mecan River in Marquette County when something went wrong and she drowned. Witnesses at the scene performed CPR, but to no avail. The Marquette County Coroner pronounced her dead at the scene. The accident is still under investigation. Tami lived in Ripon and was a radio veteran. She enjoyed working with her on-air partner Wayne Mausser and the time she spent with her family. She was looking forward to the arrival of a new grandchild. She was a compassionate and caring person and will be terribly missed by those who knew her and her Hometown Broadcasting Family.
